Biography:

Sierra Thompkins is currently pursuing her Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Western Washington University. Sierra earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical/Counseling Psychology from Colorado State University, where she held various positions working with college student peers. Through these roles, Sierra developed a passion for working with students pursuing higher education. After completing her bachelor’s degree, Sierra continued her work in higher education through two years of service with AmeriCorps, where she focused on college access and success for high school and college students. Sierra believes that fostering student well-being is an important part of student success, and looks forward to focusing on this in her individual counseling work with BC students.

Sierra approaches counseling by building relationships with her clients and collaborating with them to meet their unique goals. Sierra recognizes the importance of both the individual and systemic factors that can impact clients, and aims to create a non-judgmental and supportive space for clients to process these experiences.

In her personal life, Sierra enjoys spending time with her two cats, attending concerts, and watching reality TV.
