BC Bulldog Days with Brutus, Oct 21-25

BC Bulldog Days are a time to welcome new and returning students, celebrate school spirit and engage the entire college community!

Join us for special events from October 21 – 25! Engage and connect with other students and staff, learn about programs and opportunities across campus, and dive fully into the Bellevue College experience!

  • We kick off BC Pets & Pals –  We invite students, staff and faculty to share their extended community of pets and pals by uploading a picture of their pet with a short statement.  Submissions will be formatted into a template and shared digitally and in person! Upload YOUR pet pic here!
  • Return of the Slobber Dogs! 11 AM – 1 PM, C Building Lobby. These wonderful pups came last year with their owners and they’re returning again for BC Bulldog Days! Come by and give some pets and take pictures of the lovely Slobber Dogs!
  • Free LinkedIn Headshots – 10 AM – 1 PM, C105
  • Benefits Hub Food Drive. Drop off locations are the food pantry (U217), C building lobby and the Foundation (A101). This drive hopes to foster a sense of solidarity, support and encouragement to students while alleviating the financial pressures food can have on students. We accept any food donations, but items needed currently are: canned meats (Spam, tuna, chicken); snacks (trail mix, protein bars, fruit snacks, apple sauce, popcorn); dry goods (rice/beans/pasta); shelf-stable milk. NOTE: Anyone with a Bellevue College ID number may access pantry services! Visit the Food Pantry in U217 or online.

BC Soccer Tournament, Oct. 22, 9 AM - 12:30 PM
  • Intramural Soccer Tournament, SIGN Up Required to play. 9 AM – 12:30 PM: Join the Fall 2024 BC Intramural Soccer Match! Team spirit, friends support, Game Day Dogs and prizes! After you sign up, we’ll match you with a team and create four total teams. You must be available all morning on Tuesday, October 22 for the matches from 9 AM – 12:30 PM. Each match will consist of two 20 minute sessions with a five minute break. First match is 9:15 AM (Teams 1 and 2), second match is 10:15 AM (Teams 3 and 4) and the third match is 11:30 AM (winners of the first rounds.) This tournament will not be full-field since most players are not practicing athletes but playing for fun. We’ll have snacks and drinks for players and a spectator area with chairs and music. Concessions will be from 11AM – 1 PM with a variety of game day dogs offered by Dante’s Dogs! Sign-up here and await your team assignment

  • Colors and Connections Workshop, 12 – 1 PM, U 208/209. Colors and Connections is a workshop developed to help foster connection among college students and address growing concerns around social isolation and loneliness. 

Exploring Pathways, Oct. 23, 11 AM - 1 PM, L100
  • Exploring Pathways, Learnabout focus areas available, possibilities in each area for career & transfer, and meet/engage with faculty & staff in those areas of study. Main event, 11AM – 1 PM, Student Union Building Cafeteria: Business, Health Sciences, Humanities & Communication, Social Sciences, Public Service & Community Engagement, Technology & Data, Transitional Studies and Visual & Performing Arts Pathways. STEM event, 2:30 – 4 PM, S Building: Science Technology, Engineering, and Math. 

Transfer 101, Oct. 22, 3:30 - 4:30 PM via Microsoft Teams
  • Transfer Fair, 10 AM – 1 PM, U301A and B (Gary Locke Ballroom). Quarterly transfer fairs are opportunities for students to get in front of admissions and academic advising staff from four year institutions for students to obtain the necessary information to ensure a seamless transfer experience.
  • Transfer 101 Workshop (via Teams), 3:30 – 4:30 PM. Transfer 101 provides an introduction to the transfer process and application requirements. Topics include: Transfer associate degrees at BC, Choosing the right university and major, and Steps of applying to transfer. Join this workshop to gain a better understanding of what is needed to transfer to a four-year university.   • Creepy Crawly Petting Zoo, 11 AM – 2 PM, C105
  • Movie (“Twilight”) and Pumpkin Carving, 1 – 4 PM, C130
  • Personal Statement Workshop with Carly Yip, 12:30 – 1:30 PM (via Teams). Through this workshop, students will Learn how to SHOW (not tell) who you are through examples geared towards students applying to transfer to four year programs.   • Halloween Dance Party with Taco Bar and Costume Contest, 6 – 9 PM, U301. No costume masks allowed to be worn, except during costume contest. Costume Contest hosted by BC Sewing & Textiles Club! RSVP for event!
