How to Apply

Thank you for your interest in applying to the Healthcare Informatics program. Please carefully review the application information below. We highly encourage you to meet with our Program Manager before applying to the program!

New Application Coming Soon!

Application Period

Admitting new students annually for a Fall quarter start.

» Application Opens: TBD, approximately mid-April
» Priority Deadline: June 1
» Final Deadline: August 15

The program may continue to accept applications as space permits.

Application Instructions

First time BC students and previous BC students who are returning after four or more quarters must apply for general admission to BC first. Current BC students may skip this step.
Complete Step 1 at least two weeks prior to the August 15th deadline. Processing time is typically 5-10 business days.
Students will need to fill out an Evaluation of Transfer Credit form and submit official, sealed transcripts from all regionally accredited colleges attended, other than BC.
Admission to this program is competitive. Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee admission, as the number of qualified applicants may exceed the number of available enrollment spaces. Instructions vary between the Bachelor’s degree and Certificate options.

The Healthcare Informatics is changing application platforms to CommonApp. We are currently in the testing phase of the change and hope to have the HCI BAS and HCI Certificate programs’ applications available by mid-April 2021. Please check back here at that time.

Please have the following items ready for submission with your application:

  • Unofficial transcripts from all regionally accredited colleges attended demonstrating completion of the prerequisite courses with a grade point average of 2.0 or better.
  • Application payment will be accepted at the time of completion. The application fees are:
    • Healthcare Informatics BAS degree: $50.00
    • Healthcare Informatics certificate: $50.00

In addition to these items, the Healthcare Informatics certificate also requires a professional résumé demonstrating two years of work experience in an information technology, business intelligence, or healthcare setting.
