“imaginative virtuosity, moving from gauzy delicacy to vigorous propulsion, from dreaming to dancing and back”
— THE NEW YORK TIMES

Badi Assad, the remarkable Brazilian artist, defies music genres with her voice, guitar, and percussion talents. She’s known for singing while playing guitar and bass, using mouth percussion to create unique percussive sounds. Born in São Paulo, she pioneered the “one-woman-band” style, blending vocal percussion and body rhythms.
