Computer Applications students visited the Research Innovation Service Experimental Learning Institute (RISE) on the Bellevue College Campus. Michael Reese spoke to the students about how the RISE institute is helping to expand project based learning throughout campus. The students learned that 3D printers, Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines and commercial sewing machines are available to use for projects, and instructors are available to help. Students also had the opportunity to try their skills at soldering items to a circuit board and watch a 3D printer make an item.

Computer Applications is one of the many courses OLS Students take to obtain their associates degree from OLS. More
information about our curriculum is available on our website. To learn more about our program register for an upcoming Information Session.
