Advanced Certifications for Registered Imaging Professionals

Bellevue College offers several Advanced Certificates for current registered Radiologic Technologist professionals. These Advanced Certificates prepare current radiologic technology professionals to sit for the national exams in a post primary modality. Students will meet the structured education requirement as well as have the option to complete a clinical practicum to achieve the required required competencies. Please check out each individual certificate below for more information.

The Breast Ultrasound Certificate is designed to prepare Mammographers and Sonographers to obtain certification and employment in this specialty area.

The Breast Ultrasound Certificate can be taken as a stand-alone certificate or as a part of the Radiation & Imaging Sciences Bachelors of Applied Science degree. Mammography

The mammography course series at Bellevue College, RAIT 325 and 329, total 10 credits. Alone, these courses do not lead to a certificate but can be used toward the Radiation & Imaging Sciences Bachelor’s degree. RAIT 325 includes a half-day lab. Successful completion results in a documentation of 56 hours of training, including digital breast tomosynthesis. RAIT 325 is on the ARRT’s list of approved structured education courses.
