CS PILLAR OUTAGE
There will be a Campus Solution Pillar outage of ctcLink on Saturday, Dec. 18 from 7 a.m. – 1 p.m. The outage is necessary in order to address critical system maintenance issues.
HCM TAX UPDATE
SBCTC will be performing maintenance on the HCM pillar on Tuesday, Dec. 21 from 7-10 p.m. The pillar will be unavailable during the maintenance period.
However, the Portal, Campus Solutions, and Finance pillars will remain online during the maintenance period. Additionally, Canvas will not be impacted.
Bellevue College has successfully migrated the following 19 business applications into ctcLink:
- Request Center
- Rave Alerts
- Canvas Data Upload
- Selective Admissions Applications TerraDotta
- Team Dynamix
- Online Directory
This is a significant accomplishment, given the complexity involved in transitioning these systems. Congratulations to all those who work so hard to make this happen!
PILLAR WORK SESSIONS
SBCTC is sponsering Pillar-specific learning sessions that will
cover important updates as well as an array of interesting topics. This is a forum for ctcLink users to share discoveries, issues, quirks, best practices, questions, business process options – and whatever else might come up.
Please note, these sessions are not trainings. They are intended to build community, develop collective knowledge, and share information. The goal is to support each other by sharing common experiences and identifying solutions.
It’s an informal community – a place everyone is invited and participation is encouraged.

ADDITIONAL GRADE SUBMISSION
The Faculty Advocate team has added several additional live walkthroughs on the topic of submitting grades.
- Thursday, Dec. 16: 11 – 11:30 a.m., 12 – 12:30 p.m., 2 – 2:30 p.m.
- Friday, Dec. 17: 12 – 12:30 p.m., 2 – 2:30 p.m.
- Monday, Dec. 20: 10 – 10:30 a.m., 12 – 12:30 p.m.

DELEGATING FINANCE-RELATED APPROVALS
Approvers can delegate authority to another user for a period of time for certain modules within Finance.
Please follow the Create Delegation Request QRG for instructions on creating a Delegation Request.

WHAT’S HAPPENING WITH STUDENTS?
VIRTUAL SUPPORT – Virtual Support for student account activation and enrollment is available:
- MON-THU: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- FRI: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
ON-SITE CTCLINK SUPPORT – On-site ctcLink Student Support for account activation is available in the U Building:
- MON-THU: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
CLASS PERMISSIONS – Staff and faculty can view sessions about class permissions in preparation for Winter Quarter registration.
HELPING STUDENTS ACTIVATE ACCOUNTS – Need to help a student activate their ctcLink account so they can enroll for Winter Quarter this week? Check out the Staff Helping Students Guide.
ASSISTING STUDENTS WITH REGISTRATION – Student registration is a top priority. Staff are working to facilitate the process. If virtual support is unavailable, students can open a ticket in one of two places:
- For problems with classes with a lab: Open a Non- Prereq/ERG Request Center Ticket
- For problems with prerequisites: Open a Prereq/ERG Request Center Ticket
- For everything else: Open a Student Central Ticket
Please include course numbers and course names,
student ctcLink ID, student contact information and screenshots if possible.
A few notes to keep in mind:
- Students cannot see Request Center tickets, so someone will respond to them once their issue is resolved.
- Student Central Tickets are visible to students.
- Staff cannot open tickets for students.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
BYPASSING THE MOBILE VIEW – The ctcLink button link for students on BC’s homepage leads to the ctcLink mobile application, which may not provide certain tiles for staff and faculty once users log in.

PAST PAYSTUBS – Users can still review current and past paystubs under Employee Earnings & Leave.
