Black Graduation Celebration & Kente -Monday, June 17, 5:30 - 9 PM: Sponsored by the Black Student Union, Umoja Scholars, International Students Affinity Coordinator and Black Students Affinity Coordinator

Monday, June 17, 5:30 – 9 PM, Gary Locke Ballroom (U304)

Please join the Black Student Union, Umoja Scholars, International Students Affinity Coordinator and Black Students Affinity Coordinator in the Black Graduation Celebration!

This special event is open to everyone and will begin in the Gary Locke Ballroom in U304 and later move outdoors for a celebration and cookout.

From 5:30 – 7 PM: Featuring a keynote address by our esteemed guest speaker, Derrick Standifer, along with inspiring words from our accomplished alumni.

From 7:30 PM – 9 PM: Outdoor Celebration/Cookout! Enjoy Food trucks, refreshments, and a variety of engaging activities. The food trucks include Po’ Boys & Tings, House of Funnel Cakes and Brown Girl Charcuterie.

This event is a wonderful opportunity to come together, celebrate the achievements of our graduates, and enjoy an evening of community and festivities.

Please join us for both parts of the celebration and share in the joy and accomplishments of our graduates.
