Biography:

Advising Specialty:  STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) advising including computer-related fields, engineering, general science, etc. Also Pre-Professional Health advising including pre-Medical, pre-Dental, pre-Pharmacy, pre-Veterinary, etc.

Pronouns: He/Him/His

Education: Bachelor of Science in Biology from Brigham Young University Idaho; Master of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of California Davis.

What can Bellevue College do for you: This is a great place to get a start. Classes will be challenging and will prepare students well for transfer to a university. Take advantage of the many resources available for students.

What advice would you give a student: You don’t need to have everything figured out by your first day of college. As needed, take time to discuss your educational and vocational plans with family and friends, as well as instructors and advisors. Never turn down help that is offered to you.

Hobbies and/or interest: I love to read (mostly audiobooks), go for rides on my bike, play long, strategy-filled board games, and be outside – even in the rain. I am currently enjoying learning how to paint miniatures. And I enjoy spending time with my wife and children.

Ask me about: Haitian Spaghetti, my LEGO Winter Village, and performing brain surgery on Drosophila melanogaster (the Common Fruit Fly).

Favorite Quote: “A slender acquaintance with the world must convince every man that actions, not words, are the true criterion of the attachment of friends.” –George Washington
