Biography:

Advising Specialty: STEM advising including computer-related fields, engineering, general science, etc. Also pre-health/professional field advising including pre-Medical, pre-Dental, pre-Pharmacy, pre-Veterinary, etc.

Education: Bachelor of Science in Biology from Brigham Young University Idaho; Master of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of California Davis.

What can Bellevue College do for you: This is a great place to get a start. Classes will be challenging and will prepare students well for transfer to a university. Take advantage of the many resources available for students.

What advice would you give a student: You don’t have to have everything figured out by your first day of college. As needed, take a little time to discuss your educational and vocational plans with family and friends, as well as instructors and advisors. Never turn down help that is offered to you.

Hobbies and/or interest: I love to read, watch Pixar movies with my kids, go bird watching, and go on hikes and campouts. I also enjoy playing disc golf and working on home projects.

Ask me about: Haitian Spaghetti, the Chesapeake Bay sea nettle, and performing brain surgery on Drosophila melanogaster (the Common Fruit Fly).
