Bellevue College offers several advanced modality certificates in the imaging field. These certificates are for current imaging professionals or students of regionally accredited associate level imaging programs. Please check out each individual certificate below for more information.


Breast Ultrasound Scan

Breast Ultrasound

Completion of the Breast Ultrasound Certificate program formally prepares Mammographers and Sonographers to sit for breast exams through the ARRT and both the SPI and breast ultrasound exams through the ARDMS.


CT Scan

Computed Tomography

The certificate in Computed Tomography (CT) Imaging formally prepares the Imaging Technologist in Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine, or Radiation Therapy to work in a CT Imaging lab. All courses in this certificate program are a part of the Radiation & Imaging Sciences (RAIS) degree program and may be counted towards completion of a Bachelors of Applied Science at Bellevue College. The certificate in Magnetic Resonance (MR) Imaging formally prepares the Imaging Technologist in Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine, or Radiation Therapy to work in an MR Imaging lab. All courses in this certificate program are a part of the Radiation & Imaging Sciences (RAIS) degree program and may be counted towards completion of a Bachelors of Applied Science at Bellevue College. Mammography

The mammography course series at Bellevue College, RAIT 325 and 329, total 10 credits. Alone, these courses do not lead to a certificate but can be used toward the Radiation & Imaging Sciences Bachelor’s degree. RAIT 325 includes a half-day lab. Successful completion results in a documentation of 56 hours of training, including digital breast tomosynthesis. RAIT 325 is on the ARRT’s list of approved structured education courses.
