Application Period
The RN-BSN program has rolling admissions, so applicants apply for any of their desired start times within one application. The NursingCAS application is open from October through July, with a one month break for adjustments to be made to the new academic year’s application. The Bellevue College RN-BSN program application is not available on NursingCAS until the application period starts; however, students may start filling in their Personal Information, Academic History, and Supporting Information on NursingCAS prior to the application period.
Priority Deadlines
Applicants may apply as early as they would like for their preferred start quarter. Applying before the Priority Deadline for each quarter start enables the Nursing program to review applications, notify students, and prepare students to begin in the program with an adequate amount of time. Applying after the Priority Deadline does not automatically disqualify a student; however, it may mean that a student will not have enough time to attend orientation and register for classes before the quarter’s start, and may need to wait until the next cohort to start.
Student Notifications
The RN-BSN applications are reviewed by the Nursing program periodically. Students are notified of the program’s decision when reviewed, regardless of their chosen start quarter. Students will be offered the choice to join the next available cohort or a later cohort.
Orientation for cohort
The orientation for each cohort is approximately one month before the start of the program. Students are expected to attend the orientation to learn more about classes, books, materials, and expectations of an RN-BSN student.
