Sign up now to join this all-day trip to the North Cascades and back! You’ll travel by van to the North Cascades National Park (the road is fantastic — remember to bring your cameras) and will enjoy a boat tour of Diablo Lake. The pristine green lake was created due to construction of Diablo Dam in 1930 as part of the Skagit River Hydroelectric Project, which produces much of the electricity used by the city of Seattle. Learn about the history of the dam, local wildlife, sustainability, recreation, and enjoy the beauty of the Pacific Northwest in this trip that has been funded by the SESF.
