The concept of a course syllabus has changed over the years from a statement of course content to much more of a contract with the student, wherein college policies and instructor expectations must be spelled out in much greater detail. In order to give our students accurate and current information, Bellevue College has created this template to assist instructors with syllabus preparation and presentation.

You will be saving a copy of the template on your machine in Word format. This template has been checked for accessibility, but it is a good idea to check it again when you have completed your modifications. Helpful Guide: Microsoft help for checking a Word document’s accessibility.
