Your Financial Account in ctcLink
Hi Student,
Understanding your financial account in ctcLink is important to your student experience. ctcLink lets you see account balances, manage payments, view payment history, and more.
To have an accurate representation of your financial account, you must log in to gateway.ctclink.us AT LEAST ONCE before financial information displays in both of ctcLink’s views (mobile and desktop). Remember to activate your ctcLink account before you log in.
After you log in to gateway.ctclink.us at least once, you can view financial account information in ctcLink’s mobile view, which works across mobile and desktop devices and is the view most students prefer, and the one BC recommends.
If you have issues, submit a ticket.
Tickets can be submitted 24/7 and are processed in the order they’re received.
Please note: our ticketing system is currently experiencing a large load of requests. While we have staff working over the weekend to answer tickets, make sure to submit a ticket to have your issue placed in the queue.
How Tuition and Fees Display in ctcLink
ctcLink displays both summary and detailed information about quarterly tuition and fees. After you enroll in a course, its tuition and fees are added to your account balance.
The first information you see is your total account balance. You can either make a payment on the account from there, email the outstanding charges, or view more detailed descriptions of tuition and fees.
If you expand the summary account information, your outstanding charges will be detailed over separate lines, with a brief description of the fee, when it is due, and the amount.
Your total balance due for each quarter is not equal to quarterly tuition. Instead, your total balance includes quarterly tuition, mandatory fees, and any class-specific fees.
Your tuition, meanwhile, is split out into the Operating, Building, and S&A (Services and Activities) fees. These fees are not split out by individual classes if you enroll in more than one class.
- Operating fee: Support school operations.
- Building fee: Supports infrastructure and innovation.
- S&A fee: Supports student activities and programs.
To summarize:
- Quarterly Tuition = Operating Fee + Building Fee + S&A Fee
- Total Due = Quarterly Tuition + Mandatory Fees + Class-Specific Fees
Please note: the detailed fees that display depend on your student type (resident vs. non-resident, general admission, bachelor’s programs, etc.) and the classes you enroll in.
