Online Course Information

Information for online students:

Basic computer literacy is required.

You must have a good working knowledge of your computer and your Internet Service Provider (ISP) and Browser (Netscape or Microsoft I.E.), including e-mail. You will need to learn and use WebCT and/or VISTA and specialized software, when required, for our webbased courses.

You must access each class daily via an internet account including e-mail and web access via a server with a Browser that reads JavaScript. Textbooks for classes are available from the BCC Bookstore. Check the website for days and hours: http://bcc.collegestoreonline.com/ or call (425) 564-2285.

Successful online learning requires:

  • The motivation and self-discipline to focus, set goals, and complete as signments on time without daily face-to-face contact with an instructor.

What do you need to succeed in online learning?

  • The ability to learn from written materials, including lectures, e-mails, threaded discussions, and chat rooms.
  • A good working knowledge of your computer and your Internet Service Provider (ISP), including e-mail.
  • The ability to learn and use WebCT, and specialized software when required, for our web-based courses.
