Health Promotion and Education, BAS
This career-oriented degree prepares graduates to develop effective wellness programs for a variety of organizations. These programs reduce healthcare costs, increase productivity, lower absenteeism, enhance employee safety, and improve employee well-being. This degree promotes health equity and the belief that people deserve access to and the ability to maintain physical and mental well-being. Graduates are equipped with the skills they need to make a difference in the world.

Tamara Boynton Howard
- Program Chair
Tamara Boynton Howard, MPH is a health educator focusing on goal setting, building relationships, and providing comprehensive sex education. Her education background includes a BA in psychology and MPH in community health education. She has taught in the community and public schools for over 15 years.

Laurell Kaiser
- Faculty
Laurell Kaiser holds a Master of Public Health in Community Health Education from Bastyr University, a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Oregon State University, and is a Certified Health Education Specialist. She has over 10 years of experience in the development and delivery of wellness programs.

Tony Vo
- Faculty
Tony Vo received his Bachelor’s in Public Health and American Ethnic Studies from the University of Washington, his Masters of Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and his Doctorate of Education from Seattle University. Prior to working at BC he was the White Center Promise Director.
