BC DECA Sweeps Regional Awards

Bellevue College (BC) was named the top college across Washington, Oregon, Idaho and British Columbia at the annual Collegiate DECA regional competition known as the State Career Development Conference. BC has been the top college in the region for the past 6 years. The competition, held virtually March 5-6, was run by the College of Southern Idaho.

The BC DECA team generated 21 state champions and was the top competitor in all four categories: business, marketing, finance/accounting, and hospitality. The team earned 382 total points while the nearest competitor earned 79 points.

Kyle Barber, BC’s collegiate DECA director and program chair for Marketing, Data Analytics, and Digital Media Arts, said, “It is a testament to our student’s hard work and determination that year after year we continue to triumph over the state universities.”
