For 60 years, Bellevue College has helped people discover what’s possible. On Saturday, Nov. 14, the college invites prospective students and their families to explore what could be next for them.
Bellevue College will host Discovery Day from 10 AM to 2 PM on Saturday, Nov. 14 at the Student Success Center (U Building) on its main campus at 3000 Landerholm Circle SE in Bellevue.
Since its founding in 1966, Bellevue College has served more than 600,000 students and granted more than 80,000 degrees and certificates. More than 22,000 students enroll annually to earn college credit, prepare to transfer, build career skills, or complete bachelor’s degrees.
“Discovery Day is an invitation to anyone asking themselves, ‘What’s next?’” said President David May. “For six decades, students have come to Bellevue College with different backgrounds, ambitions, and ideas about their futures. Some know exactly where they want to go. Others are just beginning to explore. We’re here to help them take that next step.”

60 Years of Possibility
Founded in January 1966 as Bellevue Community College, Bellevue College has grown into one of Washington state’s largest colleges. It has maintained accreditation since 1970 and has offered applied bachelor’s degrees since 2009.
In addition to 15 bachelor’s degrees, the college also offers associate degrees, professional and technical programs, certificates, transfer pathways, high school programs, workforce development, and continuing education opportunities.
Discovery Day brings those possibilities together, giving prospective students an opportunity to explore programs, connect with faculty and staff, learn about student resources, and experience the college’s 100-acre campus.
A College Recognized for Student Opportunity and Outcomes
Six decades after its founding, Bellevue College continues to earn national and statewide recognition for student outcomes, opportunity, and equity.
The college was included in Newsweek’s America’s Best Colleges for Women 2026 ranking, which considered different factors, including women in leadership, pay equity, campus safety, and career pathways. Bellevue College was also named a 2026 Leader College of Distinction by Achieving the Dream, recognizing sustained excellence in student success measures, including enrollment, persistence, completion, and equity.
