Class Enrollment/Registration

How to drop a class?

View drop classes tutorial

Why May Students be dropped from classes?
Students must pay tuition by the payment deadlines listed on the Academic Calendar. Failure to pay, enroll in a payment plan, or make other arrangements will result in being dropped from class(es).

Students may choose to audit a class during registration or switch to an audit within the first 10 instructional days of the quarter (Academic Calendar). For more details, visit Policy on Course Auditing

Most courses do not require a permission number; however, a field to enter one will still appear when enrolling in any course—even those that don’t require it.

Permission codes are typically required in the following situations:

  • To enroll during late registration
  • To bypass course prerequisites
  • To enroll in a course that is already full (unlikely to be granted)

First Three (3) Days of the Quarter

  • Classes with available seats: No permission code required.
  • Re-enrollment after drop for non-payment: No permission code required.

Late Registration (see the late registration window for each quarter)

Classes with Prerequisites

  • Students with unmet prerequisites: Email the instructor first, then the Program Chair.

Students with relevant experience or prior coursework may be eligible for a prerequisite bypass. To be considered, please contact the instructor first, followed by the Program Chair.

Students can switch plans by either:

If class space is limited, students may enroll first and meet with an advisor afterward.

Credit Transfer

To have a previous degree evaluated for coursework transfer:

Apply for general admission and submit official transcripts from your prior institution(s). Evaluation typically takes four to six weeks, and results are sent via email. For specific questions, submit a request ticket.

Please contact the institution directly.

Grades and Records

Students may dispute a grade starting when it is issued, but no later than one (1) quarter after the final grade is posted to their transcript. See the Grade Dispute policies and procedures

An incomplete (I) grade provides students who are unable to complete a class on schedule with the option of completing the class at a later date without a second registration or tuition and fee payment. Students who receive an incomplete grade may not attend the class in a subsequent quarter. Issuing an incomplete grade is at the discretion of the instructor; instructors may not issue an incomplete grade without student consent. For more details, see Policy on Incomplete Grades
