The Day of Remembrance, Feb. 19, marks the day in 1942 that President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed Executive Order 9066, incarcerating Japanese Americans during World War II.

Dr. Kyle Kinoshita will present an inspiring talk about his family's fight for social justice, how it required dogged persistence and the courage to resist the status quo, making connections with the Black Civil Rights Movement, and leading to the redress movement.

Kyle Kinoshita Bio
Dr. Kyle Kinoshita is a career educator and student and teacher of educational leadership. He is currently an affiliate faculty member at the University of Washington.
