Aatqa Muqeet: Embracing a Career with Purpose 

Working with immigrants at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security wasn’t on Aatqa Muqeet’s radar when she was first thinking about a college major and career. She readily admits she wasn’t at all sure what she wanted to do. Maybe aviation? Or maybe a degree and a career in medicine or technology like many of her peers. But none of those fields felt like a fit.

The Bellevue College DECA team competed in the collegiate DECA national championships — held in Austin, Texas, from April 20-24 — and won its 10th national championship.

From May 9-12, Bellevue College is hosting "A Year with Frog and Toad," an hour-long theater performance celebrating the friendship of its title characters geared for the whole family.

DECA Team Wins 10th National Championship  

For the 10th year in a row, Bellevue College DECA team members are national champions. The team traveled to Austin, Texas to compete in the collegiate DECA national championships from April 20-24. This latest national title continues the program’s winning tradition, following their win at the collegiate DECA state competition in February.
