Community Invited to Fall Discovery Day Oct. 19
Oct 9, 2024All are invited to attend Bellevue College’s Discovery Day, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19 at the Student Success Center (U-Building) on campus.
From middle-school age to adult learners looking to advance professionally or simply to enrich their lives, all are invited to attend Bellevue College’s Discovery Day. This event, open to anyone interested in learning more about the college, will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19 at the Student Success Center (U-Building) on campus.
Event attendees will learn about Bellevue College’s academic offerings and support services by visiting tables and interacting with faculty at their own pace, sitting in on one of 11 information sessions, or taking a campus, housing, or Neurodiversity Center tour. Guests are also welcome to experience virtual reality demonstrations via the XR Club and XR Lab.
“Discovery Day is a day to learn all about Bellevue College and what it can offer you,” said event organizer Micalah Pieper, director of the college’s Welcome Center. “We will have something for everyone. It will be a fun day to connect with our community.”
Those who are interested in attending Bellevue College have a variety of educational options to choose from. The college offers 15 bachelor’s degrees, 9 associate degrees, 23 professional/technical degrees, 55 associate-level certificates, and 15 baccalaureate-level certificates. These degrees and certificates are categorized in different areas of study, called BC Pathways and include:
Outside of academic offerings, Bellevue College students can take advantage of a variety of support services. From Multicultural Services to Financial Aid, students can learn about programs designed to ensure their success outside of the classroom at Discovery Day.

High school students eyeing a head start in college will have an opportunity to learn about dual credit and Running Start. Students in dual credit programs earn both college and high school credits, saving time, money, and learning at a faster pace.
Guided Tours: Discover the college’s 100-acre campus, which boasts breathtaking views of the Cascade and Olympic mountain ranges. In addition to campus tours, the college will offer student housing and Neurodiversity Center tours beginning at 10:30 a.m.
