Digital Media Arts, AAS

Gain fundamental skills in digital media arts with this degree. It explores the use of digital tools to video, games, animations, design, and graphics in a project-based, hands-on environment. A range of elective options allows students to pursue individual education and employment goals. Students who have completed the degree should have a strong portfolio, workplace skills, and cross-media competency. Faculty mentoring and portfolio review support students as they prepare to continue their studies or pursue employment.

    Renee Nejo has been a freelance video game designer, artist and illustrator since 2011. In addition to teaching at Bellevue College, she continues to work as an Art Director and 3D Environment Artist in the industry.

    Mariella Dávila received her BA in Game Art and Design from the Art Institute of Phoenix and earned her M.F.A from Academy of Art University.

    Beau Obremski got his degree in 3D Animation and Graphics at Bellevue College, going on to work as a freelance Motion Graphics Animator until becoming Creative Director for a creative production studio in Seattle. He returns to BC to share his experiences with the next generation of artists.
