Information technology plays a role in every organization. This degree prepares you for entry-level positions in technical support or network administration or for continued education in a bachelor of applied science program. Learn how to connect computers and other resources in a network, perform network maintenance tasks, and install and configure hardware/software. This program covers the following certification areas: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Net+, CompTIA Linux+, CompTIA Security+, Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA), AWS Certified Solutions Architect, and Azure AZ 900.

    Thomas Lee

    • Program Chair

    Tom received his BS in Technology from Eastern Washington University. He has over 16 years of IT experience. He is certified as a technical trainer in several areas of CompTia, Microsoft, Cisco, Amazon, EMC and VMware. Beyond teaching, he practices as a part-time Engineer for a large enterprise and is a contractor with several local, state and national agencies.

    Evan Drake completed academic degrees in information technology and management. He has several industry certifications related to topics he is passionate about or teaches. Evan applies his industry experience to his educational style, teaching classes ranging from securing on prem systems and network management, to optimizing resources using the cloud.

    Diane Walser

    • Program Chair

    Diane Walser has an ATA in Network Administration from Everett Community College and a BA in French from the University of Washington. Her industry certifications include CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, and Cisco CCNA. Prior to teaching, she worked as a systems and network administrator in municipal government and healthcare.
