Office Hours Support for Staff

New this summer: Weekly focus topics and special guest presenters!

Staff Accessibility Office Hours are open every Wednesday through August 26, 12:30–2:30 PM via Teams. Each week has a focus topic so you can plan your visit, and we have special guest presenters joining throughout the summer to share their expertise. More guest presenter details are coming soon – check BC-FYI each week for the latest topic and updates.

This Wednesday, June 17:
Making Word Documents Accessible

Join the Making Word Documents Accessible session via Teams

How it works

These sessions are a guided support space for staff — not a drop-off service. Bring your questions, your documents, or just your curiosity. You can drop in for a few minutes or stay for the full two hours. No appointment needed.

During office hours we can help you with:

  • Making documents accessible in Word, PDF, and PowerPoint
  • Captioning, alt text, and media accessibility
  • Email and general digital content accessibility
  • Using built-in accessibility tools and checkers
  • General design strategies for more accessible materials
  • Understanding what Title II accessibility expectations look like in practice

A few things to know

  • Guidance provided is design-focused and does not include legal review or formal compliance certification
  • These sessions are not recorded
  • Faculty have dedicated live support through Interactive eLearning Services – visit the interactive elearning website for timings and meeting link
