Zoom 5.0 will be mandatory for anyone to join a meeting on May 30th, 2020, because Zoom will be using AES 256-bit GCM encryption system-wide effective May 30, 2020. The only way to join a meeting will be if you have updated your Zoom client.

Now Zoom users can report user misuse of the Zoom platform directly via the added Security icon. View the In-meeting security options video.

There is a new encryption shield in the upper left of your Zoom Meeting window. This indicates a secure, encrypted meeting.

Meeting hosts can choose their data center region at the scheduling level for meetings and webinars. The Zoom client will show which data center you are connected to in the Info icon in the upper left of your Zoom window.

Hosts have new Ending or Leaving a Meeting option clearly defined now along with some additional security enhancements.
