Community Invited to Discovery Day Oct. 25 

From middle-school age to adult learners looking to advance professionally or simply enrich their lives, or anyone in the community who is curious, all are invited to attend Bellevue College’s Discovery Day. This event, open to anyone interested in learning more about the college, will be held from 10 AM to 2 PM on Saturday, Oct. 25 at the Student Success Center (U Building) on campus.  

Event attendees will learn about Bellevue College’s academic offerings and support services by visiting tables and interacting with faculty, sitting in on one of the six available information sessions, or taking a tour of campus, student housing, the Health Promotion and Education department, or Neurodiversity Center.  

Guests are also welcome to experience a live demonstration of the Virtual Environment Radiation Therapy (VERT) system. The college’s Radiation Therapy program adopted the VERT system in 2012 and more recently began offering students a Bachelor of Applied Science in Radiation Therapy this fall.  

That degree is among 15 bachelor’s degrees, nine associate degrees, 23 professional/technical programs, and 55 baccalaureate certificates available to students at Bellevue College.  

In addition to the Radiation Therapy VERT information session, the college will offer sessions on the Occupational and Life Skills Program, the STEM to Stern Cohort Program, Neurodiversity Navigators, Running Start, and Enrolling at Bellevue College throughout the day. 

In addition to Running Start, high school students and their families can also learn about College in the High School, and Career Education Options, programs that provide an early and affordable start to higher education.
