Changing the Game: Learning Chemistry While Incarcerated
Most educators love teaching classes with engaged students. One such class that Dr. Sonya Doucette, a chemistry professor at Bellevue College, taught was filled with 18 curious, attentive, and excited-to-learn students. They were also incarcerated.

King County Awards $1.2 Million to Veterans Program
Thanks to a $1.2 million King County grant, Bellevue College will soon be able to provide case management and funding assistance to underserved student veterans. The grant is aimed at equity, supporting those who have low income, a disability, are BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, homeless, or re-entering society from incarceration.

College Breaks Ground to Expand Space for Arts, Student Innovation
Bellevue College broke ground on a new arts building on May 15, embarking on the expansion of its total building footprint to more than 1 million square feet on a 100-acre campus. The new building will pave the way for an improved, modern student experience that supports innovation, creativity, and cross-disciplinary education.
