Bellevue College invites all prospective students, their families, and community members to Discovery Day on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024.

Located on the college’s campus, Discovery Day attendees can expect to learn about BC’s academic offerings and programs. With 14 bachelor’s degrees, 11 academic/transfer associate degrees, 22 professional/technical degrees, and 66 certifications, BC provides an exceptional experience for a wide range of career pathways.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Student Success Center (U-Building), attendees can expect:

  • Guided Tours: Explore BC’s 100-acre campus, which boasts breathtaking views of the Cascade and Olympic mountains.
  • Informational Sessions: Gain insight into dual credit programs, college financing, multicultural services, STEM fields, occupational and life skills, and a variety of other supportive measures.
  • Interactions with BC Departments: Engage directly with faculty and staff within various academic programs, support services, and student engagement teams.

High school students eyeing a head start in college will have an opportunity to learn about BC’s Running Start and dual-credit programs. This innovative approach allows simultaneous accumulation of college and high school credits – and, in the case of Running Start, the opportunity to complete an associate degree.

Hundreds of people learned about Bellevue College’s offerings during the Fall 2023 Discovery Day.

BC is a top-tier hub for aspiring minds and future leaders. Last year, the institution distinguished itself through a series of notable awards and accolades –– a reflection of BC’s commitment to academic excellence:

Anchoring BC’s academic excellence is its prime location. Its proximity to major industry players across sectors in IT, healthcare, aerospace, and more ensures students are at the nexus of opportunity. The college’s emphasis on practical education, through internships and hands-on learning, reaffirms its commitment to producing industry-ready graduates.

With a commitment and focus on diversity and inclusion, BC is a welcoming space for students with a variety of backgrounds, abilities, and identities. Programs such as Umoja, Puente, Neurodiversity Navigators, and the LGBTQ Resource Center work to provide a sense of community so that all students have the support they need to successfully fulfill their educational goals.

During BC’s Discovery Day, attendees will have the chance to engage with nearly 50 different departments, academic programs, support services, and student involvement options housed within the Student Success Center. Discovery Day is an ideal occasion for exploring the broad and dynamic academic offerings that serve as the foundation of BC.

Prospective students and their families interested in attending are encouraged to register for Discovery Day and review a schedule of information sessions – including the extremely popular session on BC’s Running Start program, which allows high school juniors and seniors to take classes at the college tuition-free.
