Megan Brazil

Megan Brazil, Director of Patient Access at Fred Hutch Cancer Center

A Bellevue College graduate and now the Director of Patient Access at Fred Hutch, Megan Brazil leads major initiatives, such as implementing multi‑department self‑scheduling and optimizing patient appointment workflows. Before stepping into this leadership role, she spent 8 years at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Brazil attended Bellevue College from 2012 to 2015, earning her associate degree in healthcare administration after discovering a passion for the administrative side of healthcare. Although she initially considered a clinical path, her wide range of classes at Bellevue College, from psychology to business, helped her refine her direction toward her career.

Marwan El-Rukby

Marwan El-Rukby, COO of Kadama

Bellevue College played a pivotal early role in shaping Marwan El‑Rukby, who is a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree and the Chief Operating Officer of Kadama, a tutoring app used by more than 2 million students worldwide. The company, launched in 2019, skyrocketed in popularity, earning millions of TikTok followers and securing $1.7 million in initial venture funding. El‑Rukby first entered Bellevue College through Running Start in 2015, completing his business associate degree at age 20 before transferring. El-Rukby credits the Bellevue College's supportive environment, small classes, and dedicated faculty for helping him build the foundation that made his entrepreneurial success possible.

Hawa Hassan

Hawa Hassan, Award-winning Cookbook Author

Bellevue College was an early launch point for Hawa Hassan, who has since become an award‑winning cookbook author known for sharing global stories of resilience, displacement, and community in war‑impacted regions of the Middle East and Africa. Hassan first came to Bellevue College in 2002 to play basketball while taking classes. Her journey eventually led to founding Basbaas Foods and exploring new media projects. For students like herself, she encourages counselors and teachers to support their dreams. As she found during her time at Bellevue College, just a little encouragement can take a person a long way.

Mykhailo Kuzomka, BAS in Applied Accounting, 2023, State and Local Tax Associate, PwC

A former forester, Mykhailo (Myke) Kuzomka made a career switch in his early 40s after completing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Applied Accounting from Bellevue College in 2023. Having overcome significant challenges, this Ukrainian war refugee beat all odds when he graduated magna cum laude. He now works as a state and local tax associate at one of the largest accounting companies in the world, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).
