Level 3: Academic Credit Restriction
Read information related to academic credit restriction at BC.
Level 3 – Academic Credit Restriction
- The college places you on Academic Credit Restriction at the end of the third term in which your cumulative and term GPA falls below a C average (2.0).
- While on academic credit restriction, you must limit your enrollment to 8 credits.
- You are not considered in good academic standing until your cumulative GPA reaches a 2.0 or higher.
- Your credit limit will automatically be raised to 10 credits when you have had 2 consecutive terms earning a GPA of 2.0 or higher. If your credit limit has not automatically increased to 10 after earning a 2.0 GPA or higher for two consecutive terms email ssi@bellevuecollege.edu.
- If you continue to improve and earn a term GPA of 3.0 or higher after being increased to 10 credits, you can submit an appeal to have your credit limit reviewed.
- Your credit restriction will be removed once your cumulative GPA reaches 2.0 or higher. This can take several quarters.
Enrollment on Credit Restriction
Important: You must complete the form each term until your credit restriction is lifted. After you submit the form, please allow 1 to 2 business days for your credit limit to be adjusted before you try to register. After that time, you may still see a credit restriction message, but you will still be able to register once the update has been processed. To avoid delays, we recommend submitting the form at least 1 to 2 business days before your registration time.
