Level 3: Academic Credit Restriction
Read information related to academic credit restriction at BC.
Level 3 – Academic Credit Restriction
- The college places you on academic credit restriction at the end of the third quarter in which your overall and term GPA falls below a C average (2.0).
- While on academic credit restriction you must limit your enrollment to eight (8) credits. This means you must adjust your class schedule as directed by the college.
- Your credit limit will automatically be raised to 10 credits when you have had two(2) consecutive quarters earning a quarterly GPA of 2.0 or higher.
- Your restriction is removed when your overall cumulative GPA is a 2.0 or higher. This can take several quarters.
- See the appeal page for information about credit restriction appeals.
Before you Enroll
Each quarter you must complete the form linked below until you are no longer on credit restriction. After you submit the form, your credits will be adjusted within 1-2 business days. You may still see language about a credit restriction on your account, but you will be able to register.
