Disbursement of Funds

Learn about how and when financial aid is disbursed.

Students walk on BC's campus.

Offer Notification

We send all financial aid offer notifications to your student’s BC email.

  • Students can view their financial aid offer through self-service in their ctcLink account.
  • The initial financial aid offer notification assumes your student plans to register full-time (12 or more credits). Your student must use the Registration Status Change Form to let our office know if the plan is to take less than 12 credits at least two weeks prior to the start of each quarter. We can adjust aid for part-time registration, but paying tuition and the disbursement of refunds is delayed if your student does not notify us two weeks before the quarter begins.

Tuition Payment

If your student completed their financial aid file by the quarter deadline and are registered, we automatically hold your student in classes without payment. A few days before the quarter begins, we pay tuition with the financial aid we offered to your student. If the aid is enough to cover the full cost of tuition, fees and on-campus housing (if applicable), your student can expect a refund for the remaining balance.

Financial Aid Refunds

After your financial aid pays tuition (or on-campus housing, if applicable) any remaining balance is refunded to your student with BankMobile Disbursements, a technology solution, powered by BMTX, Inc.

Go to the Financial Aid: Disbursement of Aid webpage for more information about BankMobile Disbursements and Refunds or visit the BankMobile website.
